Montana does not give a separate chemistry exam. Chemistry content is assessed within the ACT with Writing (science section), administered as the MontCAS high school science assessment, alongside the other science disciplines.

What this means for you
Montana has no chemistry or even content-based science test: grade 11 students take the ACT, whose 40-item, 35-minute science section is a data-and-research-summary reasoning test rather than a content exam, so chemistry knowledge is only incidental. Passing is not required for graduation; the ACT is used for federal accountability and college/career readiness reporting.

Does Montana have a state chemistry exam?
Not a chemistry-only one. Chemistry content is assessed inside a broader science measure: ACT with Writing (science section), administered as the MontCAS high school science assessment.
What is on these practice tests?
Each test has 80 questions drawn from the full high-school chemistry course — measurement and significant figures, atomic structure and periodic trends, bonding and molecular shape, the mole and stoichiometry, reactions and solutions, thermochemistry, kinetics and equilibrium, gases, acids and bases, electrochemistry, and lab practice. Question types include multiple choice, select-all, numerical fill-in, ordered response and hot spot.
How long does a test take?
About 100 minutes if you use the timer. You can also take it untimed, which is the better choice the first time — you learn more from working a problem through than from running out of clock.
Are the 2 tests different from each other?
Yes. No question is shared between them, so a second test is a real second measurement rather than a memory check.
Do I need an account?
