The Absolute Best Book to Ace the SHSAT Math Test
1- Get familiar with the SHSAT math format
Knowing what to expect on SHSAT math exam day not only reduces exam anxiety but also saves you time because you know exactly what you are being asked to do.
2- Find SHSAT study materials
Before starting a SHSAT math study program, it is best to gather all the resources related to your study. Not all study guides are as effective and accurate as others. It is important to know that the resource materials you use during your studies are reputable and come from reputable sources.
3- Start early for SHSAT math
Waiting until the last minute to start studying SHSAT math is the biggest mistake you can make. As SHSAT math test day approaches, you will probably feel stressed, tired, and making it harder to remember anything. It will stress you out, and you will find yourself in an endless struggle. An early start for SHSAT math allows you to study for just a few hours each day and relax your brain. It also gives you enough opportunity to get help from the areas you are struggling with.
4- Use your strengths when studying for SHSAT math
Playing to your strengths is an important part of preparing for SHSAT math. When you focus on your academic strengths, you also increase your chances of achieving your score. Think about your strengths and hug them when test day arrives. Don’t forget to dedicate study time to your weaknesses as strengthening weaknesses can increase your SHSAT math score. Students will have an easier time conquering the SHSAT when weaknesses transform into strengths.
5- Design a table to manage time
You can use a better time by designing a table. After doing this, assign each column of the table to a SHSAT math topic. Fill in the columns according to the SHSAT math topics you want to read. It will help you get things done faster than you expect.

6- Ask for help
One good but costly way to prepare for SHSAT is to hire a tutor. A SHSAT expert tutor will help you discover your strengths, pinpoint your weaknesses, and inspire you to score high on the SHSAT math.
7- Take lots of practice tests!
When you do, be sure to place them in a quiet environment (SHSAT is a three-hour test). In other words, re-create the actual SHSAT test conditions when performing the test. Each year, the DOE publishes a SHSAT handbook that includes guidelines for SHSAT and a full-length practice test.
8- Create a study environment
Math is a subject that needs focus more than any other subject. A good study environment without distractions can be a determining factor when solving SHSAT mathematical equations! Therefore, studying math in a private space with proper lighting is very important.
9- Maximize the effectiveness
Studies show that every 1 hour of study, about 10 to 15 minutes of rest, improve your ability to concentrate on solving SHSAT math questions and can also have a positive effect on your study schedule so that you do not have more anxiety.
10- Commit yourself to the study program
Although you may have an attractive program to pass the SHSAT math test, note that the design of this program does not guarantee its implementation. To get the right result from SHSAT math planning, you must take the time and force yourself to execute the designed program. After a while, the SHSAT program will become part of your regular program.
Finally, keep in mind that while a study plan can help you pass the SHSAT math test does not work alone, and the final success of the SHSAT test depends on your willpower.
